Abstract Corynebacterium glutamicum is a microbial production host established in the industry 60 years ago. It mainly used for of feed and food amino acids. As C. strain development has been cutting edge since its discovery, it engineered plethora valuable products. This review will focus on recent developments engineering biotransformation fermentation processes towards flavor fragrance molecules as well pigments sweeteners.
